Oswego County recorded 1.3% increase in graduation rates in 2021-22 school year

Graduation rates in Oswego County schools rose 1.3% from the previous school year, according to the New York State Education Department.

There were 5,042 students who graduated in the 2021-22 school year, compared to 5,051 in the previous year.

Oswego County had the state's 48th highest graduation rate with 86.9% graduating, while Nassau County boasted the highest rate, with 95.3% of students graduating in the 2021-22 school year.

In 2022, New York had roughly one teacher for every 12 students, which is better than the national average of one teacher for every 16 students.
