The Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University has announced a significant achievement for its Class of 2024, reporting record-breaking job placement rates and starting salaries. According to a survey conducted 180 days after graduation, 98.7% of graduates actively seeking full-time employment secured positions, with an average starting salary of $72,156. This marks a notable increase from the past five years' average placement rate of 93.4% and average salary of $66,220.

Director Kara Primrose credits the success to the efforts of the Whitman Career Center in providing students with transformative opportunities that bridge academic knowledge and real-world applications. "The Whitman Career Center team feels incredibly fortunate to support our students on their career journeys and see hard work lead to meaningful success," says Primrose. She emphasizes the importance of the dedication shown by both career advisors and students in achieving these outcomes.

Graduates have accepted roles at prestigious firms such as Bank of America, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase & Co., KPMG, Morgan Stanley, and Wells Fargo among others. Interim Dean Alex McKelvie expressed pride in the achievements: “We are tremendously excited to see the outstanding job placement and salary results from the Class of 2024."

McKelvie also highlighted the role of industry partnerships in recognizing student talent and supporting their career launches. He remarked on the potential impact these numbers could have on Whitman's ambition to become a Top 25 business school: "These most recent placement numbers are a testament to the current impact and potential for the future."
