Schedule announced for Ash Wednesday services on March 5

Ash Wednesday, marking the start of Lent for Christians, is scheduled for March 5. This day begins a 40-day period leading to the "Triduum," which starts on Maundy Thursday evening and concludes on Easter Sunday.

Hendricks Chapel and the Catholic Center at 110 Walnut Place will distribute ashes. The noon service at Hendricks Chapel will feature clergy from various Christian traditions and will take place in the Main Chapel from 12-12:30 p.m.

The full schedule for ash distribution includes:

- 8 a.m.: Catholic Mass and Distribution of Ashes at the Catholic Center

- Noon: Ecumenical Worship Service with Distribution of Ashes in the Main Chapel at Hendricks Chapel

- 1:30 p.m.: Catholic Worship Service and Distribution of Ashes at the Catholic Center

- 4 p.m.: Catholic Worship Service and Distribution of Ashes, Hendricks Chapel

- 5 p.m.: Catholic Worship Service and Distribution of Ashes, Hendricks Chapel

- 7 p.m.: Catholic Worship Service and Distribution of Ashes, Catholic Center
