Syracuse University announces 2025 VPA Scholars honoring twelve senior students

Twelve seniors from Syracuse University's College of Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) have been honored as VPA Scholars, marking the highest undergraduate academic recognition within the college. The program acknowledges top seniors for their academic performance, creative or scholarly work, and contributions to both the college and the community.

The scholars will be formally recognized at the VPA convocation ceremony during Commencement Weekend. This event is scheduled for Saturday, May 10, at 7:30 p.m. in the JMA Wireless Dome.

The students named as 2025 VPA Scholars are:

- Ryan Bode, a film major in the Department of Film and Media Arts

- Emily Castillo-Langley, a musical theater major in the Department of Drama

- Ethan Davis, a musical theater major in the Department of Drama

- Aphrodite Gioulekas, a fashion design major in the School of Design

- Sidney Hanson, a studio arts major in the School of Art

- Erin Keith, a drama major in the Department of Drama

- Kelsey Quinn Leary, an art photography major in the Department of Film and Media Arts

- Angelina Lim, a film major in the Department of Film and Media Arts

- Mason Romero, a music education major in both Setnor School of Music and School of Education

- Danielle Spring, a communication and rhetorical studies major in the Department of Communication and Rhetorical Studies

- Eleni Stavros, an acting major in the Department of Drama

- Abigail Wood, a performance major in Setnor School of Music
