Nominations open for Syracuse University's Outstanding Future Alumni Award

The Office of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving is currently accepting nominations for the 2025 Outstanding Future Alumni Award. This accolade acknowledges a current student who demonstrates exceptional dedication to both the campus and local community through leadership, service, and involvement beyond academic activities.

The award will be presented during the Syracuse University Alumni Awards Celebration on Friday, April 4, 2025. "This prestigious honor recognizes a current student who exemplifies exceptional commitment to both the campus and local community," as stated in their announcement.

Leondra Tyler ’24 was the first recipient of this award in 2024. Tyler showed remarkable engagement on and off the Syracuse University campus as a McNair Scholar, Our Time Has Come Scholar, and Remembrance Scholar. She graduated cum laude with dual degrees in neuroscience and psychology via the Part-Time Higher Education Opportunity Program. Her contributions included participation in various research projects at Syracuse University, including a SOURCE research fellowship. Additionally, she was acknowledged for her leadership role with the Hendricks Chapel Food Pantry.

Registration for the awards ceremony is free and available to all members of the Syracuse University community starting next month.
