The application process for the Senior Class Marshals of Syracuse University's Class of 2026 is now open. This opportunity is available to two students who will act as all-University student representatives for their graduating class. Juniors currently enrolled in undergraduate programs and set to graduate in May 2026 are eligible to apply, provided they will be on campus throughout their senior year.

Sheriah N. Dixon, associate vice president for the Student Experience Division, Dean of Students, and chair of the selection committee, stated: “Senior Class Marshals embody the spirit of academic excellence, personal growth and community engagement, representing the vibrant and inclusive experience of being Orange.” She encourages juniors to consider applying for this representative role.

Senior Class Marshals have several responsibilities including leading their class during Commencement. They also play a part in recommending the Commencement speaker, participate in alumni networking events, meet with senior University administrators to discuss their student experience and provide insights and suggestions. Additionally, they represent their class at various University-wide functions.

For more details about the role, including qualifications and application instructions, interested students can visit the Class of 2026 Senior Class Marshals webpage. The deadline for applications is Monday, February 10.

Questions regarding the application process can be directed to Tracy Pierce at tmstark@syr.edu or by calling 315-443-3514.
