On June 18, 2023, at 10:35 p.m., Syracuse Firefighters were alerted by the Onondaga County 911 Center to a reported fire at 2505 Midland Ave. Firefighters from Station 8 (S. Salina St.) arrived on the scene less than 3 minutes later and found a two-and-a-half-story, two-family home with a large volume of fire showing on the exterior in the rear.
