The City of Syracuse Department of Public Works (DPW) has announced plans to adjust traffic signals at two intersections. On April 1, the signals at S. Geddes Street and W. Onondaga Street, as well as Grant Boulevard and Lemoyne Avenue, will transition from a flashing yellow and red light to full three-color operation.

This bi-annual changeover is part of a routine seasonal conversion aimed at managing traffic flow during the busy winter months, which span from November through March. The adjustments will reinstate the standard red, yellow, and green lights along with pedestrian button crossings for the spring and summer seasons.
