Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh has initiated an online survey to gather feedback on the city's draft Vision Zero Action Plan. This plan aims to eliminate traffic fatalities and serious injuries within the community. It will include key initiatives, safety improvements, and policy recommendations to ensure safer streets for all users.

Residents are invited to participate in the survey by sharing their insights, concerns, and suggestions. The feedback collected will significantly influence the final version of the Vision Zero Action Plan, aligning it with the needs of those living and commuting in Syracuse. The survey is available at syr.gov/Vision-Zero until April 1.

Previously, the city held five public meetings and attended various events to collect input on the Vision Zero plan. Following this, community feedback will be synthesized to refine the draft before presenting a final version for adoption later this year.

“Public engagement is crucial to the success of the Vision Zero initiative,” said Syracuse Mayor Ben Walsh. “We want to hear from everyone—whether you walk, bike, drive, or take transit—because safety is a shared responsibility. Resident feedback will help us build a transportation network that prioritizes safety and mobility for all.”
