Mark your calendars for Thursday, March 27, as Syracuse University hosts its annual Giving Day. This event provides an opportunity for the university community to demonstrate their Orange pride through contributions.
The university has set a target of 6,600 donors this year. The emphasis is on collective participation rather than the size of individual donations. "When we unite as one Orange community, even small gifts create massive impact," the announcement states.
Participants are encouraged to become Orange Advocates. Last year's advocates significantly increased the number of gifts made. By sharing unique links and tracking inspired donations, advocates can earn an exclusive "Geared Up Otto" sticker.
Early contributions are welcomed with a call to challenge friends to match donations. Real-time leaderboards at givingday.syr.edu will track which schools, programs, and classes lead in contributions.
The focus areas include scholarships, campus improvements, and research initiatives. The event underscores the importance of participation: "Together, we’re not just giving—we’re competing to create the strongest possible Syracuse for generations to come."
Syracuse University invites supporters worldwide to join #CuseGivingDay and contribute towards reaching the goal of 6,600 donors.
