Syracuse University Libraries' Special Collections Research Center (SCRC) is now accepting proposals for its Faculty Fellows Program for the 2026-2027 academic year. The program, open until May 25, 2025, offers two fellowships that include a $5,000 payment and pedagogical support. It encourages faculty to integrate primary source materials into their courses, offering students an experiential learning opportunity.

The program supports innovative curriculum development by providing expert guidance during a four-week summer residency. This includes workshops on handling special collections materials and designing creative assignments using rare materials. SCRC's collections span over 4,000 years and cover various topics in human culture and knowledge.

Jana Rosinski, SCRC Instruction and Education Librarian, can be contacted for more information at jrosinsk@syr.edu. George Bain G’06 and William F. Gaske ’72 have contributed funding to the program. The Gladys Krieble Delmas Foundation originally funded the initiative to promote humanistic inquiry and artistic creativity.

For those interested in financially supporting a faculty fellow, contact Ron Thiele, Assistant Dean for Advancement for the Libraries, at rlthiele@syr.edu or 315.560.9419.
