Students from Falk College at Syracuse University engaged in immersive travel programs during their spring break, offering a combination of education and cultural exploration. These programs are a key component of the learning experience at Syracuse University.

In Ireland, 13 students in the Sport Culture in Ireland class explored cultural landmarks such as the Cliffs of Moher and Temple Bar. They interacted with local sports through activities at the Na Fienna Gaelic Athletic Association and attended academic sessions at University College Dublin’s Institute for Sport and Health. A visit to Leinster Rugby Club offered insights into athlete development and sports management.

A separate group of students participated in the Italian Football: Impact and Outcomes class in Italy. They met with Serie A soccer club representatives and visited Soccerment, a company advancing data analytics in soccer. Tours included Bologna FC, Viola Park, and major stadiums like the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium. Cultural site visits and a pasta-making lesson rounded out their experience.

Additionally, the Falk in Los Angeles Career Exploration trip provided students with industry exposure in a major sports market. They visited organizations including the NFL Network and FOX Sports, and networked with industry professionals and alumni in Los Angeles.
