Syracuse University is set to embark on its reaccreditation journey with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE). This comprehensive process will unfold over the next two years, involving a detailed evaluation of the university's academic and co-curricular programs and operational functions, commonly referred to as a self-study. The culmination of this process will be a site visit by peer reviewers from other MSCHE-accredited institutions, planned for March 2027.
To facilitate understanding and stakeholder engagement, MSCHE’s vice president for institutional field relations, Tiffany Lee, is scheduled to host an open forum on April 8. The forum will offer insights into the reaccreditation process and provide a platform for questions. The event welcomes all members of the university community, including students, faculty, and staff. The session will take place from 11:15 a.m. to noon at the Joyce Hergenhan Auditorium, Newhouse 3, with an option to attend virtually. Pre-registration is mandatory for virtual attendance.
