Campus Planning, Design and Construction (CPDC) has partnered with a local contractor to upgrade four campus welcome booths. The project, which kicked off on Tuesday, May 14, involves the installation of a stone façade on the existing concrete planters.
The upgrades are being made to the booths located at Euclid Avenue, University Place, South Crouse Drive and Forestry Drive. The entire process is expected to take roughly two weeks. To ensure safety during construction hours, one side of each entry booth will be temporarily closed. Flaggers will be present to facilitate two-way traffic on the open side of the booth. Both lanes will be operational during nights and weekends.
The renovation process will commence with the South Crouse Drive welcome booth before moving on to other locations.
However, CPDC warns that potential delays may occur due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances. In case of significant delays, CPDC promises to share updated information with the campus community. For any queries or concerns regarding this project, individuals can reach out to Dave Warren, Associate Director at CPDC, via phone at 315.632.5238 or email at dcwarren@syr.edu.
