The University's Link Hall STEM renewal project, now in its third phase, will see extensive upgrades to the building over the summer. Beginning Tuesday, May 14, Campus Planning, Design and Construction (CPDC) will collaborate with a local contractor to execute these improvements, focusing primarily on the first floor.

Due to construction work inside the building entrances, access will be restricted. Signs will be displayed at relevant entrances detailing these limitations. The specific details of building access are as follows:

The South Entrance (across from Shaffer Art) will be closed from Tuesday, May 14 until end of day Tuesday, May 21. It is set to reopen on Wednesday, May 22 and remain open until further notice.

The West Entrance (at the Quad) will only allow access to the Civil Engineering suite on the first floor from Tuesday, May 14 through end of day Friday, May 17. This entrance will close on Saturday, May 18 and remain closed until further notice.

However, the Link North/loading dock entrance and access through Slocum Hall will remain available at all times.

In terms of ADA Access: it will always be available at the Link North/loading dock entrance and also at the South and West entrances when they are open. Building elevators can always be accessed through the North entrance which leads directly to the elevators on the basement level.

Regarding elevator service: all floors can be reached by elevator (except for the first floor from May 14 through May 21) until further notice. ADA exterior access to/from the building will always remain available at the basement level and directly out of the North entrance.

From May 14 through May 17, first-floor access will be limited exclusively to those needing entry to the Civil Engineering suite. Occupants of Link Hall are advised to adjust their work schedules accordingly during this period. For any questions or concerns related to this matter please contact Kim Cirman, CPDC senior project manager, at 315.391.3477 or kfcirmn@syr.edu.
