Syracuse University's Chancellor and President, Kent Syverud, addressed the graduates during the university's commencement ceremony on May 12, 2024. He offered words of praise and expressed pride for the students' achievements.
"Each of you graduating today got here because of your own hard work. Each of you got here by overcoming adversity. A global pandemic and so many other challenges made your time here unique," Syverud told the graduates. "But you persevered, you displayed incredible grit and grace. Of course you did. You are Orange."
During the ceremony, Chancellor Syverud conferred a total of 6,727 degrees.
