Big rigs will start rolling into Burnet Park for The City of Syracuse’s annual “Big Rig Day” on Saturday, May 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a day of interactive fun and entertainment for children of all ages. Children and their families can climb in and explore some of the city’s big trucks from the Police, Fire, Public Works, Parks, and Water departments, as well as other rigs from local companies and organizations.

New this year is a sensory friendly hour from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. for those preferring a quieter environment. During this hour, vehicles will not allow horns and sirens to be used.

The Parks Department Mobile Recreation team will be onsite with exciting games and activities, including an inflatable obstacle course, giant Checkers, and giant Connect 4 and much more.

Admission to the event is free. Refreshments will be available for purchase from the Valley Men’s Club and Henry’s Hen House Concessions.
