Billy Joel and Sting have announced a one-night-only performance at the JMA Wireless Dome on Friday, April 11, 2025. Both artists will perform their most beloved songs from their careers. This event marks Billy Joel’s eighth appearance at the JMA Dome and his first since 2015. It will be Sting’s first solo performance at the venue; he previously performed there twice with The Police in 1982 and 1984.
Syracuse University Libraries has announced that Adam Fazackerley, a 1996 graduate of the Martin J. Whitman School of Management, and Amy Fazackerley will co-chair the Libraries Advisory Board starting in fall 2024. The couple, based in Alexandria, Virginia, are co-founders of Lay-n-Go, LLC, which was listed on the Inc. 5000 list in 2022. They have been members of the Libraries Advisory Board since 2019.

Richard “Dick” Phillips, dean emeritus of Hendricks Chapel at Syracuse University, passed away on July 10 in Colorado at the age of 90. Phillips, who led the chapel during the 1980s and 1990s, was a native of Missouri and earned his bachelor’s degree in agriculture from Northwest Missouri State University in 1957. He later obtained a master’s degree in theology from Iliff School of Theology in Denver, Colorado, in 1960 and became a Methodist minister.
