Sustainability Management will host the ’Cuse Collections event from May 1 to May 6, offering students a chance to donate usable items. Donation drop-off is from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at specified locations across the campus.

Designated drop-off points include the DellPlain Hall loading dock and the Sadler Hall parking lot on North Campus, alongside the Carriage House at 161 Farm Acre Road on South Campus. Items accepted for donation include small kitchen appliances, gently used or new clothing and shoes, and non-perishable food items. Refrigerated goods can be donated at the Carriage House during business hours. However, the event will not accept bedding, visibly damaged clothing, broken appliances, books, school supplies, or opened food.

The collected items will be distributed to local organizations and nonprofits such as the Boys & Girls Club, YWCA, Rescue Mission, Catholic Charities, and Dunbar Center.

Volunteers are sought to manage donation locations. Shifts last two hours, and participants may receive credit for service-learning or community engagement. Those interested can sign up or direct questions to sustain@syr.edu.
