The Department of Drama at Syracuse University's College of Visual and Performing Arts will hold a Celebration of Life for Christina “Elise” Wobbe, a first-year musical theater major. The event is scheduled for Sunday, March 2, at 6:30 p.m. in the Storch Theater within the Syracuse Stage/Drama Theater Complex.

Wobbe passed away from natural causes on February 14 in Syracuse at the age of 18. Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, she graduated in 2024 from the Youth Performing Arts School at duPont Manual High School and attended the Governor’s School for the Arts. At Syracuse University, she was recognized on the Fall 2024 Dean’s List and contributed to costume maintenance in the drama department's production of "Pippin."

Ralph Zito, professor and chair of the department, stated: “It is clear that throughout her life Elise had a profound impact on every community of which she was a member. While we grieve her loss, we here in the Department of Drama look forward to celebrating the special light that she brought to us and to carrying that light forward into all of our work.”
