St. Joseph’s Health has announced the appointment of Dr. Julie Moore as its new Chief Nursing Officer, effective immediately. Dr. Moore brings over 15 years of leadership experience in nursing, patient care, and healthcare operations to her new role at the Syracuse-based health system.

Dr. Moore is known for promoting a culture of safety and innovation in patient care. Her expertise includes critical care, emergency services, surgical services, infection prevention, and patient safety.

Before joining St. Joseph’s Health, Dr. Moore was Vice President of Patient Care Services at JPS Health Network in Fort Worth, Texas. There she managed 3,500 colleagues and led initiatives that improved patient outcomes and operational efficiency while reducing emergency department wait times.

Dr. Moore's career achievements include implementing programs that reduced hospital-acquired pressure injuries by 26%, enhanced patient flow, decreased length of stay, and expanded care services through evidence-based practices.
