Syracuse University is calling for nominations for its One University Assessment Awards, with submissions open until March 28. The awards aim to honor faculty, staff, and students who have made significant contributions to improving learning and campus operations through assessment practices.

Julie Hasenwinkel, associate provost for academic programs, emphasized the importance of assessment in enhancing student experiences. "Assessment is a cornerstone of our commitment to providing an outstanding learning experience for our students," she stated. Hasenwinkel expressed anticipation for the upcoming celebration of innovative assessment practices across the university.

The sixth annual One University Assessment Celebration is scheduled for April 25 at 2 p.m., taking place in the School of Education Commons in Huntington Hall. During this event, awards will be presented in several categories: Assessment Champion, Shared Competencies Champion, Outstanding Assessment in an Academic, Co-Curricular and Functional Program/Unit, Best Student, Faculty, and Staff Engagement Strategies, Best Use of Results, and Collaborative Inquiry and Action.
