Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay recently visited BioSpherix, a biotechnology research firm based in Parish. Founded in 1982 by Randy Yerden, an Oswego County resident, the company has grown from a one-man operation to a leader in advanced cell and tissue technology.

BioSpherix contributes significantly to the state's economy and scientific progress. "Not only does BioSpherix employ more than 30 people, but they are on a trajectory to grow and hope to develop more partnerships with researchers and local colleges. I was thrilled to learn how this company is expanding and where it hopes to be," stated Leader Barclay.

The company specializes in building controlled environments for researchers studying medicine, diseases, and cell development. Further information can be found at their website.
