The Martin J. Whitman School of Management has achieved a notable ranking for its online MBA program, now placed at No. 30 nationally by Poets&Quants. This ranking is determined through a methodology focusing on admissions standards, employment outcomes at graduation, and academic experience. The latter two are based on surveys of recent alumni.
In the area of academic experience, Whitman excelled with a No. 14 overall rank. Alumni expressed satisfaction with live synchronous classes (No. 12), professor quality (No. 4), responsiveness (No. 12), and teamwork quality (No. 15). For career impact, the program maintained its No. 23 position, with high satisfaction in applying learned skills to jobs (ranked No. 15).
Interim Dean Alex McKelvie commented: “We are pleased to once again be among the best online MBA programs...Seeing this play out in the rankings validates our efforts and investments in these areas.” He noted significant career benefits for alumni as well.
Whitman alumni praised the program's flexibility, faculty, and diversity. One alum described it as "a great program with wonderful instructors," highlighting its suitability for working professionals due to flexible scheduling.
