The deadline for nominations for the Chancellor’s Citation for Excellence at Syracuse University has been extended to January 15, 2025. This award honors members of the campus community who have made significant contributions in areas such as research excellence, student experiences, innovation, and support for veterans and military-connected families.

Jamie Winders, vice provost for faculty affairs, emphasized the importance of recognizing those who go "above and beyond" in their service to the university. "The Chancellor’s Citation for Excellence provides the perfect opportunity to recognize those individuals," Winders stated.

Nominations can be submitted in four categories: Award for Faculty Excellence and Scholarly Distinction (faculty), Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Student Experience and University Initiatives (faculty or staff), Award for Excellence in Student Research (students), and Lifetime Achievement Award (faculty).

Further details about the award and nomination process are available online. Inquiries can be directed to Amanda Latreille at 315.443.5413 or arlatrei@syr.edu.
