Syracuse police officer involved in collision with intoxicated driver

On October 10, 2024, a Syracuse Police Officer was involved in a motor vehicle collision while responding to a burglary in progress. The incident occurred at approximately 11:47 p.m. at the intersection of South Clinton Street and West Washington Street. According to authorities, the collision was caused by a motorist driving in the wrong direction on South Clinton Street.

The driver, identified as Lauren Klee, aged 24, has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
