City of Syracuse administrative offices will not open on Monday, October 14, due to the Columbus Day federal holiday. Despite the closure of administrative offices, trash and recycling collection services will continue as usual.

Next week marks the beginning of biweekly recycling pickup. Properties scheduled for A-Week pickup should place their recyclables out on their designated day next week. Residents unsure of their property's designation can verify it at syr.gov/carts.

Additionally, the Department of Public Works yard waste self-drop-off site at 1200 Canal Street will be unavailable to the public on Monday. Metered parking in Syracuse will also be free on that day.
