Aditee S. Malviya G’25 from the College of Engineering and Computer Science has been appointed as the Syracuse University campus director for the 2024-2025 Hult Prize competition. The event is coordinated by Syracuse University Libraries’ Blackstone LaunchPad.

The Hult Prize is an annual global competition that challenges student entrepreneurs to address significant social issues through innovative startups, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Students from over 120 countries participate each year, with finalists pitching their solutions to experts for a chance to win $1 million in funding.

Malviya will organize the local campus qualifier competition at Syracuse University. Winners from these qualifiers advance to national competitions, followed by a digital incubator phase for further refinement. The best teams then join a global accelerator in London, culminating in six startups competing in the global finals for the grand prize.

Malviya has a background in web development, backend systems, and process automation. Her work as a research assistant has led to improvements in data management and real-time analysis for financial research projects. Additionally, she has served as an innovation mentor at LaunchPad and as comptroller of the Graduate Student Organization at Syracuse.

The Hult Prize campus qualifier at Syracuse University will be held on February 21 at LaunchPad in Bird Library. Last year's winner was Moody Magazine, founded by Emma Leuders ’24 and Jennie Bull ’24.
