Syracuse University's College of Professional Studies (CPS) has been lauded for its commitment to meeting the educational needs of military-connected students. Liz Green, executive director of online student success at CPS and a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force, emphasized the university's dedication to supporting military students, stating, "Supporting military-connected students and their families is part of Syracuse University’s mission."

CPS offers an IVMF Alumni Tuition Incentive for graduates of IVMF programs, providing military-connected students who are IVMF alumni with a tuition incentive, reducing their cost to $350 per credit hour for online undergraduate certificate programs. The College offers a range of credit-bearing certificates in areas such as Creative Leadership, Cybersecurity Administration, and Project Management, aligning with the growing demand for skilled professionals in these fields.

Dean Michael Frasciello, an Air Force veteran and supporter of military-connected initiatives, highlighted the value of IVMF's CAPM and PMP certifications in establishing successful post-military careers. He stated, "The rigor and objectives of the PMP and CAPM courses align tightly with the market-sensitive curriculum in our project management programs."

In a move to enhance the value of certifications, CPS is embracing digital badges for professional networking platforms like LinkedIn. These badges, issued through blockchain technology, provide quick validation of an individual's skills and certifications to potential employers. IVMF alumni from the Onward to Opportunity program have already received over 8,000 digital badges through Accredible, with plans to expand their use in the labor market.

As CPS and IVMF alumni services continue to explore the benefits of digital badges, future participants can expect to see broader integration of this technology. For those interested in Syracuse University's programs for military-connected students or career training certifications through the IVMF, further information can be found on their respective websites.
