54 percent of applicants to SUNY College at Oswego were admitted for fall 2018

At SUNY College at Oswego, 94 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 50 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Oswego enrolled 7,986 students in fall 2018, including 7,081 in undergraduate and 905 in graduate programs, data shows. 9.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

94 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 5 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (69 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (12 percent).

The school admitted 54 percent of the 13,414 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 21 percent enrolled.
