Campus Planning, Design and Construction has begun construction on a new residence hall along Ostrom Avenue. This project is part of the first phase of the University's Strategic Housing Plan announced last year.

Due to the construction, sidewalks in the area have been closed, and pedestrian detours are now in place. Directional signage is installed at all intersections to inform pedestrians about sidewalk closures and guide them to safe paths.

Pedestrians walking along Ostrom Avenue are directed to use the east side of the road between Euclid Avenue and University Place. They should cross at the intersection of Ostrom and University Place to head toward North Campus. Access for ADA-accessible walkways and ramps will remain available at the southwest corner of this intersection. Those on University Place should walk along the north side of the street.

The fencing and detours around the construction site will be maintained for two years as work continues on this project.
