Five members from Syracuse University have been chosen to join the 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Academic Leaders Network. This initiative aims to foster networking and collaboration among academic leaders across ACC institutions, while also enhancing leadership skills.

The selected Syracuse University representatives for this year's cohort include Kevin Adonis Browne, an associate professor in writing studies and chair of the Humanities Council at the College of Arts and Sciences; Brad Horn, a professor of practice in public relations and associate dean for strategic initiatives at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications; Elizabeth (Beth) Kubala, a teaching professor and executive director at both the clinical education department and Betty and Michael D. Wohl Veterans Legal Clinic in the College of Law; Lindsay Quilty, assistant dean for undergraduate programs at Martin J. Whitman School of Management; and Miranda Staats Traudt, assistant provost for arts and community programming within the Office of Strategic Initiatives in the Office of Academic Affairs.

The program will commence with a virtual event on February 7th. Participants will then attend three on-site sessions scheduled throughout 2025: Wake Forest University from March 26-28, University of Miami from June 23-25, and Georgia Institute of Technology from October 20-22.

These sessions aim to cover leadership topics relevant to higher education while encouraging growth in leadership awareness and effectiveness. All participating faculty members have undergone foundational leadership training and have held a relevant leadership role for at least one year.
