Many facilities at Syracuse University will either be closed or have reduced hours during the Thanksgiving break from November 24 to December 1. Students staying on campus can access certain services, with detailed information provided by campus partners.
Transportation services will see a reduction in campus shuttle operations. Safety escort services are available nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. through the Orange Safe app until December 1. Student Engagement offers roundtrip buses to several East Coast cities for $110 per ticket, with details available on their website.
The university provides free transportation to Syracuse Hancock International Airport and the Regional Transportation Center on November 22 and return service on December 1, with specific pickup locations listed.
Dining options will also be limited during the break. A schedule of operating hours for various dining centers is available on the Campus Dining website, detailing which venues are open each day.
The Barnes Center at The Arch's hours for health care, mental health, and recreation facilities are posted online. Students in crisis can call 315.443.8000 for confidential support at any time.
Syracuse University Libraries have announced their hours as well, with Bird Library being one of the few open throughout most of the break period.
