Anthony Adornato, an associate professor in the Broadcast and Digital Journalism department at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, has been selected as a Fulbright Specialist. His assignment will involve training journalists in Kosovo on best practices for reporting across various platforms.

Adornato, who also serves as the BDJ department chair, is scheduled to visit Kosovo in the summer of 2025 for this nearly three-week program. During his stay, he will work with staff at Radio Television of Kosovo to educate them on emerging trends in media and communication.

The Fulbright Specialist Program was established by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in 2001. It aims to facilitate short-term academic collaborations ranging from two to six weeks between U.S.-based faculty and professionals.

In 2020, Adornato was named a Fulbright Scholar and spent a semester teaching and researching at universities in Milan. His focus during that period was on the influence of mobile and social media on journalism and journalism education in Italy.
