Earlier this month, Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay joined the Village of Phoenix in honoring Danny Dunn, celebrating his six decades of service as a firefighter, educator, and historian. Over his career, Dunn has made a significant impact on the community through his numerous roles.

Leader Barclay sponsored a resolution that acknowledges Dunn's contributions and dedication to the Phoenix Enterprise Fire Department, a resolution that was passed earlier this week.

Dunn's extensive achievements range from his service in the Army and Army Reserves to being a charter and lifetime member of the NYS Association of Fire Chiefs. His work has had a profound effect on fire safety education at both the local and statewide levels. Dunn's commitment has set a standard of excellence that continues to motivate future generations of first responders and community leaders.
