The elder Dineens' connection to the law school dates back generations, originating from an Irish immigrant neighborhood near the campus.
Throughout his career, Dineen Jr. maintained strong connections with Syracuse University. He served on its Board of Trustees from 2007 to 2016 and was actively involved in various committees related to budget and external affairs. His dedication extended beyond administrative roles; he supported scholarships and financial aid initiatives for law students.
