Syracuse University Libraries offer extended hours and destress activities for finals

Syracuse University Libraries will extend their hours during the upcoming fall finals week. From Friday, December 13, to Monday, December 16, Bird Library will remain open around the clock. Meanwhile, Carnegie Library will extend its closing time to 11 p.m.

In addition to extended hours, Syracuse University Libraries is providing various activities at Bird Library to help students manage stress during this period. A positivity station on the first floor of Bird Library will be available from December 4 through December 13. Students can collect study goodie bags, encouraging notes with candy, coloring pages, and snacks.

On Tuesday, December 10, Room 114 in Bird Library will host a wellness room from 4 to 6 p.m. Students can take a break from their studies by engaging in activities such as coloring, using Zen boards, participating in guided meditation sessions, enjoying chair massage pillows, and playing board games.

Additionally, the Libraries remind students of the availability of two MindSpa Massage Chair Rooms that can be reserved for relaxation purposes.
