Syracuse University's Blackstone LaunchPad has announced the winners of the 2024 Impact Prize competition, an event focused on social entrepreneurship. The competition took place on November 13 at Bird Library.
Student teams presented their social impact ventures to compete for a total prize pool of $15,000. The prizes were made possible through donations from Libraries’ donors.
The first place award of $6,000 went to Elizabeth Paulin from the College of Arts and Sciences for her venture, Paulin Capital. Jordan Pierre from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications secured second place with a $4,500 prize for founding Voice. Olutosin Alabi from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management won third place and received $3,000 for his venture Diabetech.
Additionally, runner-up awards of $500 each were given to Ava Lubkemann from the College of Engineering and Computer Science for ReVamped; Alie Savane from Arts and Sciences for Beta Kola; and Dylan Bardsley from Whitman School along with Mark Leaf from Engineering and Computer Science for Clarity.
