Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay met with members of the Central New York Arts Center to promote an upcoming art exhibit titled "Local Landscapes and Landmarks." The event, scheduled for October 24 at 6 p.m., is organized in collaboration with the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce. This free-to-enter exhibit aims to showcase the talents of local artists while celebrating central New York's beauty.

"Every year, I am in awe of the amazing pieces our local talent showcases," said Assembly Minority Leader Will Barclay. "What I especially enjoy about these exhibits are the unique perspectives on familiar sights and the sense of connection and pride among residents and visitors alike. It’s a must-see event that truly highlights the creative heart of Oswego."

The exhibit is open to residents from Oswego County, southern Jefferson County, and northern Cayuga County. Eligible artworks include watercolors, photography, original prints, pen and ink, acrylic, and pencil work. Submissions are due by October 14 at Leader Barclay's district office located at 19 Canalview Mall, Fulton, NY 13069. Artists should provide their contact information and a brief description on the back of their artwork.

Prizes in the form of local restaurant gift cards will be awarded to first and second place winners in each category. Refreshments will be available during the event. For more details or inquiries, individuals can reach out to the district office via email at barclayw@nyassembly.gov or by phone at 315-598-5185.
