The City of Syracuse wishes to inform residents and visitors of temporary street closures for Mary Nelson’s 2024 Backpack Giveaway event in and around Sankofa Park on Saturday, August 17. The closures are necessary to facilitate event setup, presentation, and breakdown.

Drivers may experience delays and are advised to use alternate routes if possible. All parked vehicles must follow the odd/even parking rules and posted signage on neighborhood streets to allow for emergency vehicles to pass through.
