Madison County spent $2,304,223 on women’s collegiate basketball teams in 2023, representing a 10.2% increase from the previous year, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

Overall, basketball teams in the county received a total of $5,229,901, with women’s teams receiving $2,304,223.

Since 2010, the average sports expenses in Madison County have grown 172.6%.
