The 46th annual Mountain Goat Run is set to take place on Sunday, May 5, with over 2,500 runners gearing up to participate in the event. The race, covering a 10-mile course that winds through the City of Syracuse, will have implications on traffic and transportation routes in the area, including on campus.
According to the organizers, temporary road closures are scheduled between 9:45 a.m. and noon on the day of the race, affecting the campus community and commuters. Additionally, Centro shuttles and Syracuse University trolleys will experience delays during this time, particularly impacting travel to and from South Campus.
In light of these disruptions, race organizers are urging neighbors to exercise caution and allocate extra travel time if their routes intersect with the race course. They are also encouraging community members to show their support for the runners and partake in the festivities at the finish line located in Clinton Square.
