Water crews from the City of Syracuse Department of Water are currently working on repairing a water main on the 100 block of Shonnard Street. The repair work has caused disruptions to water service in the area, and as a result, Shonnard Street between West Street and Niagara Street will be closed to all vehicle traffic until the repairs are completed.

In a statement released today, the City of Syracuse Department of Water confirmed that sidewalks will remain open and traffic detours have been put in place to ensure the safety and convenience of residents and businesses in the area. The department also provided a contact number for those with questions or concerns, stating, "Residents and businesses with questions or concerns can contact the Department of Water at (315) 448-8360."

The repair work is ongoing, and the City of Syracuse Department of Water is working diligently to restore normal water service to the affected area.
