On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, a fire broke out at a one-story home on East Laurel Street in Syracuse. Syracuse Firefighters responded to the scene after receiving a report of smoke in the area. The firefighters found heavy black smoke coming from the eaves of the roof upon arrival.
During the operation, one civilian sustained burn injuries and was promptly transported to a local hospital. The individual's injuries, fortunately, are not life-threatening.
