The City of Syracuse Department of Water is currently engaged in efforts to mend a water main on the 400 block of Velasko Road. The ongoing repairs have the potential to disrupt water services for households and businesses in the vicinity.

According to the Department of Water, crews are diligently working to ensure that water services are sustained while simultaneously tackling the necessary repairs. As a result of the repair work, Velasko Road between West Onondaga Street and Bellevue Avenue has been cordoned off to all vehicle traffic until the restoration is completed. However, it is important to note that sidewalks in the area remain accessible, and traffic detours have been put in place to guide commuters.

For any inquiries or concerns regarding the water main break and repair operations, residents and businesses are encouraged to reach out to the Department of Water at (315) 448-8360.
