Of the 474,621 citizens living in Onondaga County in 2021, 78.6% were old enough to vote, equating to 373,142 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 178,434 were male, constituting 47.8%, and 194,708 were female, making up 52.2%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Onondaga County during 2021 was lower than the state average, which stands at 79%.
