It's snow plow season! Be aware of them, and remember they are there for your safety!
Take caution when you approach a snow plow:
1. Plows are big with many blind spot
2. Their size and weight makes it hard from them to maneuver and stop quickly
3. Clouds of snow can kick up reducing visibility
4. Snow ridges and bumps can be created in the road that can make lane changes difficult
For these reasons it is best to keep your distance and never pass a snow plow, for your safety and the safety of others.
A special thanks to Madison County Highway Department for the work they put in night and day to maintain our roads and make sure our residents have the best travel condition possible.
