Madison County NY Government - Madison County Health Department and BRiDGES / MCCASA Are Launching a New Program to Increase Public Access to Naloxone (Narcan®)

Madison County Health Department and BRiDGES / MCCASA  are launching a new program to increase public access to naloxone (Narcan®) by making emergency boxes available to community agencies and local businesses. The first box was installed in the Madison County Office Building lobby this week.

Opioid overdoses affect every community, including Madison County.

Narcan® is a medication that reverses the effects of an opioid overdose in minutes. Having Narcan® available can be the difference in saving a loved one. These Narcan® boxes serve as an emergency response for a person experiencing an overdose until medical help arrives. Always call 911 if you or someone you know is having an overdose.

If your organization is interested in applying for a Narcan® box, please fill out the form: https://forms.gle/NePhzi3tfVHXWDN18

Training and Narcan® will be provided free to the organization by BRiDGES.
