Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia. LGBTQ individuals not only experience discrimination, violence, and harassment, but also a lack of affirming and inclusive care. Organizations funded by the New York State Department of Health provide direct care, counseling, and other support services for LGBTQ youth and adults. Many also provide education and training to healthcare providers, front-line workers, and students to help increase access to and availability of affirming and inclusive care.
