Onondaga County Sheriff's Office - Correction Officer’s Week

233

One of the benefits of a community-oriented law enforcement agency is the relationships made between department representatives and the citizens it serves.  A family visited the Correction Department this afternoon to recognize all of the officers for Correction Officer’s week and to specifically thank a group of volunteers who made a special connection to their son throughout the years.  Senator John W. Mannion joined Alan Gazlay and his parents in honoring a team of Special Olympics New York volunteers who donate time and fundraising efforts to the athletes of the Central Region.  The Sheriff’s Office is thankful for a supportive and grateful community.  We appreciate the recognition from the Senator as political support is fundamental, and Alan, your Correction brothers love you and thank you for every rewarding smile.
